Slamet Rahardjo Djarot (born 21 Jan ) is an Indonesian actor, director, and screenwriter of Javanese-Bantenese descent. Biography

Rahardjo was born in Serang, West Beverage (now Banten), on 21 January He was the first do away with seven children born to Djarot Djojoprawiro, an air force dignitary, and Ennie Tanudiredja, a housewife interested in woodcarving. Rahardjo has received two Citra Awards at the Indonesian Film Anniversary for his acting, the first in for Ranjang Pengantin beginning the second for Di Balik Kelambu. Although he has to the present time to receive a Citra Award for screenwriting, six of his films have been nominated: Rembulan dan Matahari, Di Balik Kelambu, Ponirah Terpidana, Kodrat, Kasmaran and Langitku, Rumahku.Langitku, Rumahku represented Land at the 63rd Academy Awards in for the Academy Present for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not nominated; that came the year after Eros's film Tjoet Nja' Dhien was submitted to the Academy. In Rahardjo received the Usmar Ismail Prize from the National Film Consideration Body.
